Ideation + Poster Design
Summary Statement
In an effort to inform people about poverty in their neighborhoods or cities, and what they should do about it, this poverty awareness campaign was created. The project was inspired by previous classes - Redevelopment of Central City, and Economic Development - and experience from working with local non-profits, where I learned of the difficult living conditions others are facing who live so near.

Project Overview
Based on the passion for inner-city justice and holistic development, the process of poster
design included multiple variations and steps:
1) After deciding to focus on inner-city poverty, the first step of the process included creating boards indicating the mood and topic. This allowed me to make a visual representation of knowledge on the cause.
2) Next, refined representations were necessary. Honing in on Photoshop skills, I pulled together collages to further develop ideation.
3) From the ideation and visual research, three final mockups were created, each with different strengths.
4) Optimizing the strongest design, the final poster was created through feedback and trial and error. The final piece was landed on through success in getting the massage across.

Final Assets
The final design was initially used for a poster design, yet had opportunity to be expanded into a campaign.
The final text element is shown across products to gain awareness and draw people to learn more through the poster and online - such as shown here on a button.

The mood boards roughly capture the imagery needed for a successful cause campaign. Next, the collages above were helpful in conveying the correct emotion, opening the truth of poverty while still upholding human dignity. The next following image holds the three final mockups.
The final iteration is pictured below, a moving poster with vivid imagery and informational content, pushing readers to learn more.
