Problem Solving in Design
Summary Statement
We found a problem in the clarity and uniformity in communication on our campus. There were too many different sources and types of information posted through various methods, making it difficult to find events or relevant campus information. Therefore, this project aimed to relieve communication problems on campus as a proposed hosting website. We wanted to create a way in which students could get all of their information in one place to be informed but not overwhelmed.

Project Overview
This project began with in-depth primary and secondary research. From there, the issue was addressed through ideation, mockups, and trial and error. Inspired by other communication systems, and optimizing for the potential client, a final website design and launch campaign was created.

Final Assets
We created a mock up of a website and plan for execution – including marketing materials, a timeline, projected budget, and development estimation.
The website hosted a separate box for each event or piece of information, giving details such as descriptions and dates. Students had the ability to filter their interests and department of study in order to see the most relevant events. They could also and save events to “My List” and see other students who were interested in the events as well.
